I am Annabelle Wong, the oldest of three siblings. I am in Year 8 at Renaissance College Hong Kong.

I love writing, music, art, swimming, reading, and the game Rummikub. I play the piano and am in Grade 3, but I hope to be in Grade 5 by the end of this year. Some of my favourite music artists include Laufey, Lemon Jelly, Radiohead, and Nick Cave. I also enjoy drawing or art, and I am looking forward to starting oil or acrylic painting soon. Compared to the rest of the RCHK Swim Club Silver team, I am a slow swimmer, but I keep swimming because it helps clear my mind and makes me happy to move forward. A game I enjoy playing is Rummikub, which can be a competitive game, but I like how the tiles you throw can always end up helping others, like a zero-sum game.

Reading is one of my strongest interests, and I like to be “absorbed” into the book, as if I myself were the protagonist. Unfortunately, like swimming, I am also extremely slow at eating, and therefore my routine of reading while eating often gets me scolded at the dining table.

I hope to travel and explore other places, preferably Europe. The places I have been are Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Japan, and recently Taiwan, but a place I want to explore is Paris, so that I can see the artwork at the Louvre. I also love bread, especially baguettes, so I want to find out if it is really true that most Parisians live 5 minutes away from a bakery.
