2023 RCHK Service Fair

28/9/23

The 2023 RCHK Service fair brought upon many opportunities to meet and connect with a variety of organisations. As an RCHK Service Ambassador, I volunteered to help with the service fair and use the opportunity to meet people and organisations.

I led people to the correct classrooms to present their involvement in global and local issues on time, and asked them about the organisations they contribute in.

At first, I was just making small talk, so that the trip down the stairs or elevator wasn’t awkward. However, I began to experience a spark of curiosity when they described their jobs and aims. Christian Action aims to serve all, helping the disabled, and those in need. Box of Hope educates people about poverty and kindness while giving boxes with gifts to the underprivileged children.

On that day, I learnt about those with passions and issues they found in contemporary society, and how they strive to change that, to make a difference and help others through service.

Those with passions chose to pursue it, and I learnt that when I discover my passion, I can also contribute through service. However small the acts may be, they can always help someone.
